Great Speaker Option (Works With iPod Nano 4th gen)

It has been noted that the 4th generation iPod Nano has some backward compatibility issues with other devices. For example, the 4th gen nano won't charge on a lot of older docking stations.
I can confirm that these Altec Lansing speakers will charge your iPod Nano 4th generation. See uploaded photo. I was actually assuming it wouldn't because the description only says compatible with "iPod nano 3rd gen".
These speaker sound good for their size. The "aux" in jack is on the back if you want to use these speakers for other types of mp3 player. |
Amazing sound for the price

| Amazingly clear room-filling sound with surprisingly strong bass for a fairly small and lightweight unit which runs on only 3 AA batteries for up to 48 hours (an AC adaptor is also included). Yeah, I know it lacks a remote plus other fancy features - all it has are an on/off button and a volume slide - but, on balance, the quality of the sound and the low price more than make up for the lack of any fancy features. Well worth a look for the budget conscious iPod owner looking for an inexpensive but great sounding set of portable speakers that can also be used as a dock to charge the iPod. Just don't expect any bells and whistles. |

| When the item arrived, it was already to go, just needed conection cables ( radio Shack 1.99 ) once in place it was a beatiful sound, I was looking at Bose , this sounds just as good, volume is loud enough for parties and soft enought to relax, which I do every morning in the back yard while soaking up the sun. I would recommend this sound system to anyone, it has been a pleasure!!!!!! |
Great sound and design...except for the power cable

This product sounds great for it's small size and has a great design.
Battery life is OK, but since it only uses 3 AA probably about right (i.e. there isn't that much juice in 3 small batteries to start with).
My only recommendation is that they should have thought more carefully about having a way to store the power cable within the unit. It's like they spent all the time on the product design and then never actually USED it afterward noting that you'd have no place to include the power cord when you go to move it.
Overall, though, great value for the price and I'd highly recommend.
